Manuscript Categories & Formatting Requirements

The African Journal of Finance, Taxation, and Fiscal Policy (AJFTFP) published by the Department of Management Sciences, Federal University Dutse, accepts high-quality original research articles, systematic reviews, and policy analysis papers.

Font & Size Times New Roman, 12 pt font size throughout the document.
Line Spacing & Margins 1.5 line spacing with 1-inch (2.54 cm / 30 mm) margins on all sides.
Word & Page Limit 6,000 – 8,000 words (maximum 18–20 galley-proof pages including tables, figures, and references).
File Format Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) supplied as a single file.
Referencing System APA 7th Edition of Referencing Style (American Psychological Association).
Academic Integrity

Plagiarism Screening & Originality Policy

Zero Tolerance for Plagiarism: All manuscripts undergo automated similarity screening via Turnitin prior to double-blind peer review.
  • Maximum Overall Similarity: Must be strictly less than 15%.
  • Single-Source Matches: Must not exceed 3% for any individual cited work.
  • Originality Declaration: All submissions must include a signed covering declaration confirming the work is original and has not been submitted elsewhere.

Concise title (no abbreviations), full author names, institutional affiliations, emails, mobile number, and a short running title (< 40 characters).

150–250 words stating: Research Problem, Methodology, Key Findings, and Contribution to Knowledge. Followed by 3 to 6 keywords in alphabetical order and JEL classification codes.
